Financial Protection

As part of their terms of membership, all BAWTA members set aside advance payments made to them by their wholesale clients until a tour is completed.

Even though this is not a requirement of the Package Travel Regulations, this mirrors the undertaking that coach operators must in turn give to their passengers.

The only exceptions to this form of payment protection are when client prepayments have been received on a non-refundable basis and/or prepayments have been made in advance to suppliers. All BAWTA members are required to provide a written undertaking to this effect signed by a company director.
